Jianping Bin  M.D,PhD

Professor &  Chief Physician
Deputy Director of the National Clinical Research Center for Kidney Disease
Director of the Cardiology Department
Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University

Dr.Bin obtained his doctorate degree in internal medicine at the First Military Medical Universityv in 1998. From 1997 to 2002, he served as a postdoctoral fellow and visiting scholar at Cardiovascular Diseases Center in University of Virginia.

His main research areas lie in cardiology and molecular imaging. He was the first to propose and validate the concept of "magnetic navigation-targeted ultrasound microbubbles" so as to provide a new method for the study of arterial ultrasound molecular imaging.

He is the member of the Cardiology Imaging Group of the Chinese Medical Association Cardiovascular Disease Branch, member of the Standing Committee of the Molecular Imaging Society of the Chinese Medical Engineering Society and Vice Chairman of the Cardiovascular Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association, editor of the Chinese Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and so on. He is included in the “Hundreds of millions of engineering leaders” of “Guangdong Special Support Plan”.

He is a productive researcher and has published  85 papers in  main journals including world prestigious journals as Circulation ,JACC,Crit Care Med,Cardiovasc Res and so on with individual impact factor accumulated to about 450. Dr.Bin has been invloved in the National “863” & “973” Scientific and Technological Plan Project,  National Special Scientific Research Instrument and Equipment Development, National Natural Science Foundation projects and Guangdong Natural Science Fund and so on.
